Monsoon season is an amazing time in the mountains. Heavy rain, hail, wind, and lighting are in close proximity to the clear scorching skies of the desert valleys below. From the metropolis, immense Cumulonimbus clouds form 70,000' high in the atmosphere, creating a wonderful phenomena of weather for those dwelling far below them.
